Really, let's just get honest here!

I'm a slob people!  I HATE cleaning, but love how I feel when my house is clean.  Actually I LOVE to deep clean.  Cleaning out cabinets, scrubbing baseboards, organizing closets and scrubbing the oven and fridge-yes I really do love to do those things.(I think I'm a hopelessly bi-polar cleaner)  What I hate despise no loath is everyday cleaning.  Picking up toys for the umpteenth time, folding laundry, putting the dishes away.  We don't have a dishwasher, so it's a never ending chore to keep up with the dishes!  The point is, that everyday cleaning sucks!!!!

How many times have any of you been to my house and I've fed you some line about "the boys just made a mess, I'm sorry"

or "today is laundry day, excuse the MASSIVE amount of unfolded laundry all over our furniture" or some other crap!

 Well I LIED people.

The boys did made the mess but it probably from forever ago.  The clothes have been there all week, I just didn't feel like putting them away.  They are just going to be worn and put back in the dirty to start the cycle over so just grab em out of the basket will ya!

And that sink of dirty dishes will get done as soon as I put away the clean ones mmmkay!

Now, do I like being this way- NO!  Do I know what to do about it- NO!  Do I want some help- YES!!!
So what do I do all day, you ask?  Believe it or not, I clean ALOT!  And do my endless amounts of homework to try to keep up with my classes.  This is my last sememster taking 15hrs, it just doesn't work for me right now.  I'm thinking 12 sounds like a nice number, don't you?!  :)

I found a new blog that I love, while reading last night.  She said something that describes me perfectly, and I'm going to share this little bit; but you gotta read all of it.  I'm tellin ya, this is SO me!

At A Slob Comes Clean, in the About Me section she had this to say:

"But when it comes to keeping my home in order, I struggle.  "Struggle" doesn't fully describe the
frustration and feeling of hopelessness I felt when I would wake up and realize that my home was in total chaos.  I know how to clean, but clutter gets the best of me.  I don't see it until it is out of control.  And when there's clutter everywhere, cleaning is almost impossible."

I know EXACTLY how she feels!  It seems that I hit a brick wall when it comes to daily order.  I feel completely overwhelmed, frustrated, hopeless and lost!!!!  I can't tell you the amount of tears I have shed over my house.  Or the amount of times I have tried to fix it, only to feel I made matters worse.  I don't know why I can't seem to keep things in order, but I find it very challenging.  I am excited that we are where we are now where we can get organizational supplies, but I have a hard time spending that much money on them.  I'm a total tightwad unless it's for my boys or John!

So for this week, my blog is dedicated to nothing but the progress I make in my house and doing it cheaply.  If you think about it, send me some encouraging comments, tips, ideas or how about  a complete diagnosis of why I am like this please!  I'm for reals peeps, I want the help!

Oh another thing that A Slob Comes Clean said that describes me on a less serious note was this.  I laughed because I do this on a daily basis!

"No.  I do not seem to be able to think through all of the repercussions of placing a dirty cup on the coffee table on my way to the kitchen instead of taking it with me all the way to the room where it goes . . . . and where I am already going."

Ahhh, yes I do this exact thing and just carry crap from room to room!  Wouldn't just putting it in the sink make more sense?  To you -yes!  To me-apparently not?!

So, I am excited about showing you my new clutter free home, what I accomplished, as well as what I've thrown out.  I got a good start on clothes, which will cut down on laundry, and that will cut down on baskets of clothes sitting around, which will hopefully inspire me to put them away where they belong!!  One step at a time, I CAN DO THIS!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! No advice from me, you know I am constantly trying to figure how to keep a clean house and not hate it!

Good luck with your endeavor! I hate cleaning too, but I also love a clean house. I just don't have time to constantly be picking up and cleaning...or maybe I do, but I would like to relax at least a little!!
