Friday Favorites

Friday's can be tough days because I have homework assignments due at noon.  No matter how hard I try to get my other classes done so Thursday night I can do Friday's assignments, it just doesn't work.
And my boys must sense the weekend, because they go bananas on Fridays.

Lately Seth has been working on understanding how aging works.  He's all about reminding me that when he's older, I'm going to be an old lady.  "Momma, I will always love you even when I'm big and you're wrinkly old"

So today, trying to meet my homework deadline, at my wits end with Seth being loud and active while Aaron climbs on everything imaginable finding random objects to stick in his mouth, I thought I was going to lose it.  Actually, I think I did lose it.  I pretended to have no teeth and talked in an old lady voice as I chased them around the house tickling them saying "come 'ere sunny!  Let your old momma give you some sugars."

Love weird special moment like this with my boys!!!

Friday's Favorites

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

I don't know about you, but I'm extremely ready for the weekend.  It's been a super busy week and i'm homeworked out.  Ready for a fun day with the fam tomorrow.

Now, let's get on with the real reason you stopped by.  There were SOOO many great things this week, it was hard to narrow it down.   So when those kiddos go down for nap, go grab that coke and a cookie-you deserve it-and enjoy some guilt free YOU time!

Be Different, Act Normal has a tutorial for the cutest felt monster pillow.  I can't wait to make one of these, but I'm going to change it up to make it a dinosaur somehow.  Still working on that part!

The Blog Guidebook is full of helpful ideas and directions if you are just getting started or ready to take your blog to the next level.  You can also find links to blogs categorized by interests too.  Great resource.

Faith Trust and a Little Pixie Dust hosted a giveaway 2 wks ago where she featured a sponser Gloveables. The giveaway is over, but the link is still there.  Go check them out.  I KNOW I could accomplish amazing things in the kitchen if I had me something like this. Got your curiousity up, well then just click that little link up there, you know you want to.  All the cool kids are doing it!

Kisha of Kisha Christman Photography posted a link to this blog, and I've loved it ever since.  How Not to Dress Like a Mom has some hilarious posts about fashion.  She does this little thing called Freaky Friday: Fun with Keywords.  It's a riot and some of the stuff people search...
*the first link is to the main blog, the second is directly to the freaky friday post!

Nap Time Crafters posted on how to make a St. Patty's day shirt. It has my favorite freezer paper stencils.  Think I'll make us up some for our St. Patty's playdate we have coming up, and boy it up just a tad!
*On a side note, I noticed that today is her first time to feature a Fridays Fav.  I always post in comments letting them know they have been featured, so I'm just going to pretend that it was MY idea that inspired her to do this on her blog too.  Thanks for pretending with me!  ;)

Sew Dang Cute has an awesome giveaway good for the month of March to get a *Free 8X10 Canvas.  We are soon to have family pictunes made and can't wait to use this offer.

For lots of great crafts, and even tips that would be good for you home schoolin' mommas, go spend a little time nosing through this blog  She is named appropriately with all her  Snippets of Wonderful

So I blog stalked all of you to see what you follow and any names that jumped out at me, I checked it out to see what your reading.  Anyway, Blogsale grabbed my attention and i'm excited to see what this has to offer.  It's like an online blog ebay.  She will be posting new items this coming week, so maybe you'll find that perfect something.  There were a few things I was really bummed I'd missed

And because I am always looking for great kid crafts, I am lovin this site Kids Create She has a ton of ideas that i'm just itching to try.  I dont have daughters, but was relieved to find a post the eased my mind about naked barbie creep out.  If we ever have a girl, I will for sure be doing this!

So go grab thos snancks and meet me back here during nap time
.  Happy Reading!

Friday's Favorites

So I'm thinking about doing something new called Friday's Favorites.

It will be where I share links to all the really cool things I've seen throughout the week.  This will give me time to ask permission, or at least comment telling them I'm doing so and gradually put this post together throughout the week.   So, let's get on with the goodness shall we!

Cheri over at I Am Momma, Hear Me Roar, is one of my favorite blogs.  You can always count on her for great ideas.  Today she is sharing from another blog some awesome free preschool printables.  They are super cool and can't wait to print some out for here.  *Also, if you go to the right side of her page you will see links for some of her other great ideas, like my new obsessions: freezer paper stencils and bleach pen t-shirts!!!

Stacy at The Birthday Blog is completely new to me this week.  She has dedicated this whole blog to birthday party ideas complete with pictures of cakes, activities, games and decorations.  This site is a heaven send, because I love to get all theme crazy at parties!!!  Go check her out, and if you've had some great parities in the past be sure to email her because she just might feature YOU!  I'm pointing at you FYI

Same Stacy, different blog also has another great blog Not Just a Housewife.  Kudos Stacy for keeping up with both, you are a busy women-seriously this supermom has 4 boys!!!!  She always has great ideas and tutorials, and my favorite is her 'Show Me What Ya Got'.  It's a linky party for all her readers to share their great ideas, crafts, food or whatever. It's the perfect stop for a whole plethora ooooo ya like that big fancy word there of links.  Warning: will consume lots of your time and cause your finger to uncontrollable click another link, even when your children are trying to get your attention!

My new friend Yvonne  , who is always great to share new sites, introduced me to my new love The Saucy Kitchen  Thanks Yvonee!!!  The Saucy Kitchen site is full of such delicious goodness, that I could get lost in this blog for 72 years.  Seriously people, she has such great things like her tabs at the top for pantry basics, dairy substitutes and she even has a menu all laid out for you.  Go check her out, and thank me later!

And last but not least is a blog that has a post for everything you could thing of.  Readers meet Totally Tutorial  It's a collections of different authors, so I have no name for you, but they have tutorials for EVERYTHING!  This is where I got my link for an awesome crochet dinosaur cap.  Just go to the labels on the right of the page, and look under whatever topic your interested in.  It's pure creativity jammed packed into one little blog stop.  Thanks ladies for all your hard work to make it such a great site!

So that's it for now.  Hope you find some new favorites yourself.  If you find something that you think needs to be featured but don't feel like featuring it yourself, shoot me an email.  I'll add it and give you credit by linking them to your page as well.   Just like I did with Yvonne-only Yvonne won't know that I did this until she reads today because this idea came to me as I started a new post.  You see these ideas, they just come to me because I'm a genius or something.  Anyway, along with a button for my blog, I'm going to make a grab button for those that were featured here.  I'm thinking maybe a thumbs up picture that says You Were Approved for Fridays Favorites.  Hmmm, who knows?  Ok, now quit reading my ramblings and go check out these new sites!
